Brunching in Oxfordshire

It's no surprise to anyone that I love a good brunch. I honestly believe it is the holy grail of all meals. Lazy, lovely Sunday ones are my absolute favourite. A stack of newspapers, a pot of coffee and some good company and it's pretty much my favourite time of the week.

A few weekends ago I went to Oxford for my grandparents wedding anniversary. We snuck out of the family activities on Sunday morning for some lazy loveliness at the Como Lounge in Witney.

There's only really one way to describe the decor...and that's quirky!! It really reminded me of the Breakfast Club. Hundreds of pictures lined the walls and loads of granny-style and American diner lampshades hung from the ceiling. There was definitely no shortage of things to look at. We found a comfy corner with a stack of newspapers and settled in for the next two or three hours watching the rain outside.

The food was amazing! I had an english muffin topped with guacamole, chorizo, red pepper and mushroom mix and two poached eggs. My brunch companion had a chorizo, black pudding and egg butty with hash browns. It was all washed down with lots of coffee. I know we were outside of London, but it was really reasonably priced as well. I did my usual thing of getting the paper to look high-brow, and reading the supplements about fashion and lifestyle.

I was wearing a lazy comfy sunday outfit..a Topshop smock dress, leggings and my Warehouse kimono with a Dorothy Perkins necklace and no makeup :) Warehouse have some seriously beautiful things in at the moment.

After brunch we wandered through the gorgeous town of Burford and looked at all the art galleries. I love galleries! All in all it was a perfect Sunday.
