This evening I had some free time and wanted to go poking about some London thrift/vintage shops in search of some cool trinkets for my new room (I'm moving at the end of the month- still SW London though!).
I headed up to Shoreditch and Brick Lane to see what I could find. Brick Lane market is only really busy at the weekend, so I ended up going to Blitz, a vintage shop nearby. I didn't see anything I liked, although I had fun browsing. I then wandered back to Shoreditch and went and got a burrito at Freebird Burritos. It's a little place under some corrugated iron just near the station. I've been to the area before to eat at Yalla Yalla (which, if you're in the area, does some insane falafel and hummus snack boxes), but today I was feeling me some guacamole and hot sauce.
I followed the sound of music and the general East London hustle and bustle until I walked past Rokit. Surprised they were still open, I headed in to their Rokit Recycled launch event. Free beer lures me in. I usually find Rokit a bit overwhelming, especially the Camden branch, but it was nice and relaxed. I ended up getting a pair of Levi denim shorts for a bargain £18. I'm planning on wearing them next time London warms up a bit!
East London has a cool vibe- there is always something going on. I spent a fair bit of time admiring the street art, as you can see!
